Danish Zenvo weren't exactly lucky the first time around, partially due to poor management and even worse planning. Their first attempt at a supercar burst in flames on Top Gear, and had more mechanical failures than your grandpa after his hip replacement.
But Zenvo didn't quit—and they're back with their all new TSR-S—running a 5.8-liter V8 producing an insane 1.100 nm of tourque shooting it from 0-62 in only 2.8 seconds, and 0-120 mph in just shy of 6.8 seconds, with a top speed north of 200 mph.
The new Zenvo is running a special dog-tooth clutch as well, which works much the same way as a standard clutch, but with much larger and wider spaced teeth. These are mostly seen in race cars, and it will be interesting to try it out.
Check out what Schmee had to say about it here:
Troels Vollertsen, Chief Technical Officer and co-founder at Zenvo, explains:
“In developing the TSR-S, the utmost dedication and ambition of our team has driven us to achieve unprecedented levels of aerodynamic engineering capability for a road-going car. By converging the individual performance characteristics of the exceptional TS1 GT hypercar with the savage TSR track car we have created the ultimate Zenvo. The TSR-S is a once-in-a-generation car with cutting-edge technologies that will define new boundaries in automotive engineering, and will rightfully place it in the very highest echelons of the hypercar world.”
There will only be produced 5 examples per year, and the starting price will be around 1.500.000 USD, so you'd better start feeding your piggybank.
